Description
Payri mango is a local variety coming out of the Ratnagiri Devgad belt of premium mangoes in India. It is not as popular outside of the region, but is well known within the belt. Payri is typically used in combination with the Macurad and the Alphonso mango to make a Mango nectar or Aamras that is unprecendented in freshness and flavor. It has low shelf life and is less sweet than the Alphonso mango but juicier.
